I'd love to see you dig-in for full X-keys support, including all switches (like the layer switches) and lights (since I used them for status indicator lights as well as backlights).I do want it for gaming, specifically any general input device like an Azeron Cyborg, PS3 gamepad, Xbox gamepad, Panther XL, etc.I'm late to this party, but my 2¢ worth for this Mac user: Avid has its own protocol, but this doesn’t play well with others…. Then in controllermate I would set those two input values and have each of them control the “mousescrollup” or “mouse scroll down” on a particular pixel of the activated screen. You can create a controller template in OSC and set rotary knobs to send two values (up = 1, down = 0) One key area I worked in, was the controlling of pro tools plugins and to get around midi limitations, I used controllermate to do that. I use them mostly to interpret a midi protocol for video, audio or lighting implementations for live bands. You can also write your own scripting (mostly Java) to send special or dedicated coded messages or midi messages in translation. These touch controllers send these address messages, along with String, Integer or other format identifier. Client apps exist, such as TouchOSC or Lemur, or even Open Stage Control, which is a very functional and lightweight approach to implementing the protocol.
